Service overview

What's included

A well-designed LAN keeps voice, video, cameras and business data flowing smoothly, and makes problems easy to find and fix.

  • Network design and topology
  • Managed and PoE switch installation
  • VLANs and traffic separation
  • QoS for voice and video
  • Uplinks and redundancy
  • Configuration backups and documentation

How a business LAN is built

Core, distribution and access, each with a job

Larger networks are built in layers so traffic flows efficiently and one fault doesn't take everything down. Smaller offices may combine layers.

Core layerThe high-speed heart of the network, linking servers, internet and floors.
Core switchCore switch (redundant)Firewall
Distribution layerConnects each floor or department and applies VLANs and policies.
Floor 1Floor 2Server room
Access layerPoE switches that connect and power everyday devices.

Key features

A LAN that's fast, organised and easy to manage

Managed switches

Business-grade switches configured for speed, security and visibility.

Power over Ethernet

PoE switches power phones, cameras and access points over the data cable.

VLANs

Separate networks for staff, guests, CCTV, phones and servers.

Quality of Service

Voice and video calls prioritised so they stay clear.

Redundancy

Backup links between switches to reduce single points of failure.

Clean documentation

Topology diagrams, IP plans and configuration backups.

How we deliver

From design to a documented, working LAN

Every step ends with something you can check, so you always know where the project stands.

  1. STEP 01

    Assessment

We review users, devices, current switches and traffic needs.

FAQs

Questions we hear most

About switches, VLANs and LAN design.

Ask on WhatsApp
What's the difference between managed and unmanaged switches?

Unmanaged switches simply connect devices. Managed switches let us separate traffic, prioritise calls, monitor the network and lock it down, which business networks need.

What is a VLAN and do we need one?

A VLAN separates devices into their own network, for example keeping CCTV and guest devices away from business data. Most businesses benefit from them.

Can you replace our switches without long downtime?

Yes. We prepare and configure new switches in advance and plan the switch-over outside working hours.

Do you supply the switches?

Yes, or we can configure equipment you already own.
